Above are my top shots of 2009, I gave up reducing the set when I got the count down to 111 shots. You can click on any single photo to view it larger or once you have a photo up larger you can start a slide show as well. Enjoy and drop me a comment as to which shot is your favorite.

Now this is what I call a daunting task, to filter 51,162 photos taken in the year 2009 down to the “best”, the best, what is that its all so subjective. I made a list of the bands I photographed this year and the count was 136, see this list at the bottom of this post. Not bad for my first full year of serious part time concert photography, no wonder my 500 GB hard drive is nearly full. Well I decided to take try and keep the “best of 2009” group down to 100 photos, which is very difficult for me because I am a terrible photo editor and I like too many of shots taken at every show, I mean really how can you decide, they all have their good points, the light, the composition, the emotion the movement and on and on. I decided to use two approaches, first I would use photos that received the highest view count on my Flickr site, see these shots below, and then I would try my best to get the 54,000+ shots paired down to less than a 100 and post them here as well, these shots are shown above.
